The BSN Elastocrepe Bandage is a woven short stretch crepe bandage made from 100% high twist cotton and rayon yarns. It is ideal for use with traditional paste bandaging techniques, and the fabric is extensible along its length, with a degree of elasticity that is imparted by the presence of crepe twisted cotton yarns. The bandage may be washed if required, and when dried naturally and loosely folded, it will regain some of its original elasticity.
The BSN Elastocrepe Bandage is used for the application of light pressure and support in the treatment of sprains and strains, and varicose veins, and as a support to aid rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery.
It has non-fraying edges, and can be used on elbows, knees, ankles or lower legs. The BSN Elastocrepe Bandage provides firm support for varicose veins and leg ulcers, and the special weave minimizes excessive stretching and ensures uniform compression, durability and long use.
The BSN Elastocrepe Bandage is made up of thick fabric, and does not hamper muscular and joint flexibility. It permits normal skin breathing and has a claw clip to ensure the bandage stays in place for firm support.
